LONDON–Meliá Hotels International, Spain’s largest hotel group, will introduce its new Calviá Beach hotel this summer, marking a new era for the INNSiDE by Meliá portfolio. INNSiDE Calviá Beach will spearhead the brand’s evolution of its design-led lifestyle and resort hotels, allowing guests more freedom to relax and explore, whether they are travelling for work or leisure, while focusing on sustainability.

Gabriel Escarrer, Executive Vice President and CEO of Meliá Hotels International, said: “INNSiDE Calviá Beach brings an entirely new lens on Magaluf. With 24 hotels and resorts worldwide, we’re thrilled to shine a new light on the property, which remains true to the brand’s promise of allowing guests the freedom and flexibility to move seamlessly from work, to leisure, to wellbeing, allowing life to unfold. INNSiDE Calviá Beach is a true partner in the community, a place for locals to come together and for visitors to discover what makes Magaluf a must-visit destination.”

One of the pioneering holiday destinations in Mallorca and the Mediterranean, Magaluf has become a center of innovation for holiday experiences over the last eight years, thanks to the renovation by Meliá Hotels International of its more than 3,500 rooms in the area. Following private investment of almost $280 million – with $50 million invested in Momentum Plaza and INNSiDE Calviá Beach hotel – this summer’s opening marks the final phase in the repositioning of the area and has enhanced the profitability and sustainability of Magaluf’s tourism industry.

With 270 guest rooms, the hotel offers a spectacular rooftop area with restaurants, bars, and the largest transparent floating pools in Europe, with views overlooking the beachfront. INNSiDE Calvia Beach will partner with local artists to host a series of events on the hotel ground floor, aligned with its aim to reposition Magaluf as a tourist hotspot.

The project has created a dynamic social hub in the center of Magaluf, parallel to the beachfront. Situated in the heart of Calviá Beach, the hotel is only 10 minutes’ drive from Palma, making it ideal for both business travelers and culture seekers. INNSiDE Calviá Beach is located next to Momentum Plaza, which features the island’s best restaurants, bars and shops across more than 53,000 square feet of retail space, including an underground car park, to accommodate both tourists and residents from other parts of the island.

With sustainability in mind, INNSiDE Calviá Beach has been built following strict environmental responsibility and energy efficiency criteria. The hotel is free from single-use plastic, offers sustainable towels and linen and yoga mats are made of cork.

Rooftop Nine and Food Factory serve as Calviá Beach’s culinary hotspots, satisfying every craving and occasion. Rooftop Nine honors the hotel’s location and its comfortable, contemporary design with a menu of Mediterranean dishes and innovative cocktails, whilst Food Factory provides a curated buffet menu made with seasonal Mallorcan ingredients with a decadent twist.

Designed as an all-in-one destination, ideal for couples, friends and solo travelers, the hotel features four modern swimming pools, two of which notably are suspended on the hotel’s rooftop with sea views.
